University of Adelaide have a number of updates to provide, which are relevant for recruitment into our 2020 and 2021 intakes.


Program delivery modes: 
All lectures will be delivered online for the remainder of the year.

Semester intake and census dates: 
The semester commencement and census dates are unchanged for Semester 2, 2020 and Trimester 3, 2020. University of Adelaide may also be in a position to offer a wider variety of programs for Trimester 3 (September) commencements and will provide further updates on this shortly.

Scholarships for International Students: 
⭐️GLOBAL CITIZENS SCHOLARSHIP 2021-2025
This scholarship rewards international students commencing an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification who have received academic merit in their studies.

🔸Value of the scholarship
The scholarship offers a reduction of between 15% and 30% of the tuition fee for the minimum standard duration of the scholars chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

🔸Commencing an undergraduate qualification
Year 12 overseas student with a minimum raw ATAR equivalent of 80 for a 15% scholarship.
Year 12 overseas student with a minimum raw ATAR equivalent of 90 for a 30% scholarship.

🔸Commencing a postgraduate qualification
Grade point average (GPA) of minimum 5.0/7 or equivalent to receive a 15% scholarship.
Grade point average (GPA) of minimum 6.0/7 or equivalent to receive a 30% scholarship.

🔸The scholarship has the following conditions
  • Available for students commencing in the period between 2021-2025;
  • Available for commencing direct-entry international undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students, including those who are required to undertake a Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP) prior to their degree commencement;
  • A minimum GPA score;
  • Open to citizens of any country (except Australia and New Zealand);
  • Available for study in any discipline (exceptions apply).
  • To be eligible for this scholarship you must
  • Have a University of Adelaide offer or admission (full or conditional) as a full-fee paying international student.

🔸Exclusions
The following applicants are not eligible to receive these scholarships:
  • Current University of Adelaide students who are transferring from one program to another prior to successful completion of their program of study (internal transfers);
  • Students who are recipients of a scholarship covering above 50% of tuition fees awarded by a recognised scholarship awarding body such as a government ministry or department;
  • Applicants for Masters by Research or PhD programs.
  • Applicants for certain programs; see the scholarship terms and conditions  for a list of excluded degrees.

🔸How to apply for the scholarship
It is not necessary to apply for the 2021-2025 University of Adelaide Higher Education Scholarship because this scholarship will be automatically awarded to students who meet the eligibility requirements. No separate Scholarship application form is required. Scholarship recipients will be confirmed at the point of acceptance.

Scholarships are open throughout the year but applicants are encouraged to finalise their admissions process as early as possible to allow enough time for them to apply for a visa and prepare for their studies.

⭐️HIGHER EDUCATION SCHOLARSHIPS 2021-2025
The Higher Education Scholarships rewards undergraduate and postgraduate ( by coursework) international students who have demonstrated their passion for learning and loyalty to Australian education by successfully completing their year 12 high school studies (undergraduate only) or AQF-recognised course or program at an Australian higher education institution, prior to commencing their degree at the University of Adelaide.

🔸Value of the scholarship
The scholarship offers a 25% tuition fee reduction for the minimum standard full-time duration of the scholar's chosen undergraduate or postgraduate degree.

🔸Scholarships in this program have the following conditions:
  • Available for students commencing in the period between 2021-2025;
  • Available for commencing direct-entry international undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students, including those who are required to undertake a Pre-Enrolment English Program (PEP) prior to their degree commencement;
  • Open to citizens of any country (except Australia and New Zealand);
  • Open to international students undertaking Australian curriculums onshore in Australia who have achieved academic merit in their studies by achieving a minimum raw ATAR score of 80, or International Baccalaureate (IB) score of 28 including:
  1. Australian Capital Territory    Australian Capital Territory Year 12 Certificate(ACTE)
  2. New South Wales Higher School Certificate (HSC)
  3. South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE)
  4. Tasmanian Certificate of Education (TCE)
  5. Victoria Certificate of Education (VCE)
  6. Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE)
  7. Northern Territory Certificate of Education (NTCE)
Provides a waiver of 25% of the annual tuition fee for each year of the program for the full duration of the degree program.
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
  • Either be an alumni (graduate) of an AQF-recognised Australian Higher Education institution or have completed an onshore Australian Year 12 qualification with a raw ATAR of 80 or an onshore IB Diploma with a total of 28;
  • Have a University of Adelaide offer of admission (full offer or conditional offer) as a full-fee-paying international student;
  • Complete the acceptance process as outlined in your offer of admission;
  • Enrol in a full time study load for each study period of your degree.
Note: Scholarship applicants who are eligible for more than one scholarship offered by the University of Adelaide will only be entitled to receive one scholarship (the highest value scholarship award for which they are eligible).

Acceptance of Alternative English Language Tests:

Due to the current Covid-19 situation, Alternative English Language Tests will be accepted for admission to all coursework applications for 2020 and 2021. These alternate tests will only be accepted until such time as standard testing centres reopen. Approved tests include TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition, IELTS Indicator and Cambridge Linguaskills General.

Acceptance of Agency certified documents and English translated documents:
Due to the current Covid-19 situation, the University will accept digitally certified documents until further notice, including translations submitted by University authorised agents. COEs will be issued with condition of verification on them for Semester 2 & Trimester 3, 2020 and Semester 1 & Trimester 1, 2021.

Conditional offer letters with scholarships:

The University will issue conditional offer letters with relevant scholarships for Semester 2 / Trimester 3, 2020 and Trimester 1 / Semester 1, 2021.
